Is it just me or does summer turn you into an instant woodstock wannabe?!
Bring out your inner boho babe with this fabulous new collection of 60s Afghan vintage jewellery in store now.
So Coachella has come to an end and, once again, kick starts the festival trends for the summer ahead! With an A-list line up of artists including Guns n Roses, LCD Soundsystem, The Kills, Bat For Lashes, The Last Shadow Puppets and DJ’s Sasha and John Digweed (the list goes on), the music alone is enough to give you festival envy. But still, rightly or wrongly so (I can’t decide), it seems to be the revellers fashion choices that attracts the most attention, side tracking from the music, Coachella has become more infamous as a festival fashion parade!
Coachella is the closest thing the USA has to the UK’s ultimate music festival Glastonbury, the only thing that’s guaranteed to be better is the weather!! So with that in mind, celebrities and festival goers alike can really make the most of showing off their summer style. Bohemian–Hippie (with an added dose of sex appeal) seems to be the unwritten dress code. Long floaty dresses, grunge rock Tees, denim cut-off’s, floppy hats, coin jewellery, 70’s flares, Janis Joplin style sunnies, tassels, lace, crochet, tie-dye, and flower child head dresses are the apparent uniform!
Think ‘contrived Woodstock’ and you’ll get the idea!
My only hope is that these fashion concious beauties forget the fashion show and really get down and dirty to enjoy the music as the sun goes down! That’s really what it’s about after all!
Having said that, I can’t help but love some of the festival style on show each year at Coachella, so here’s a look at some of the best of 2016’s fashion tribe…..
Now, fashion show aside, here are a few of my fave pics from Coachella that remind us of why music festivals are so damn special! That feeling of freedom and ‘anything goes’, the electric energy and a vibe of ‘oneness’ that can’t be beaten no matter what you’re wearing!
These gorgeous handmade necklaces from Nepal are now available in store!
Beautiful individual designs, each one hand crafted using Himalayan rock crystals with macramé detail and turquoise stones.

Here at The Stellar Boutique we’re beginning to feel the festive spirit and with Christmas just around the corner what better way to celebrate than with a fabulous new range of sterling silver jewellery! We are delighted to showcase this exclusive collection of unique, hand made silver jewellery by a very talented designer and special friend , Sarah Jane Vinall . introducing ‘SJV Jewellery design’.
Sarah Jane Vinall, the talent behind the ‘SJV’ collection , gained her degree in Product Design in 2001 at the University for the Creative Arts and it was There that she developed a flare jewellery design . It was also There at Uni where Sarah and I first met! Sharing an equal love for contemporary design , traditional artisans , all things shiny , student life and general good times it was inevitable we would become friends for life!
Upon graduating Sarah spent the following two years travelling around Asia and the Spanish Islands becoming inspired by the traditional practices of design, soaking up different cultures and techniques . On returning to England she started her own successful label designing up-cycled jewellery and accessories , selling her creations at the famous London markets , Spitalfields and Portobello road . From there she went on to work with some of the best fashion stylists and fashion photographers , including Kate Davis-MacLeod , and her jewellery featured in numerous shoots in the national press . In 2006 Sarah was commissioned to design and create the catwalk accessories for designer Michiko Koshino at London Fashion Week for her Spring/Summer collection . After taking time out to have her daughter , Savannah , she has returned to her passion . Getting busy in her workshop she is back with a stunning new collection With beautiful contemporary design inspired by traditional artisans , creating unique pieces that do their bit for Mother Earth! Every item is handmade to the highest standard using recycled materials with honest , traditional crafts . Passionate about reprocessing different artefacts and giving unwanted everyday objects a new lease of life in another form , she maintains the constructed elements of a design piece , exposing it to show the craftsmanship and uses recycled precious metals for her work . Many pieces bear a raw , hand textured finish so that the wearer can be assured each piece is completely individual .
……AND HERE IS THE NEW COLLECTION…..
Two great friends with the same vision , hatching a plan (over a glass of Sangria in the Spanish sunshine) to combine forces and showcase the ‘SJV’ jewellery collection exclusively at The Stellar Boutique…..Enjoy
Each piece of SJV Jewellery is hallmarked by the London Assay Office, to give you the guarantee of the recycled precious metal content of the item you are buying.
